Christmas 2009

This years Christmas was amazing! I enjoyed seeing both sides of the family.

First we stopped at Nana and Papa's house. This year we did something different, we opened presents and then ate dinner! That's a first. It felt weird. But it was still fun to see the family. And I had the Oyster Stu again. I wanted to try the actual Oyster but didn't. Maybe next year. Haha, the broth is good though. And I got lots of great presents!

After seeing the Wolff's we went to see the Carr's. That was fun! Everyone was there at my aunt Theresa's house! The second I walk down stairs into the basement I am attacked with little kids wanting to play a game. That was pretty cute. I also was able to talk to Rick and Irene, my uncle Rich's parents, who I haven't seen in a while! That was a nice surprise. Seeing all the little kids playing and attempting to say "Merry Christmas" clearly was probably the cutest thing.

I also went to Hosanna's church service at 9 o'clock PM. That was amazing! They had a live stable with real animals and a great service. I liked singing Christmas carols too. That was pretty fun.

I enjoyed spending Christmas with the family. Hopefully, I can see more of them over break. I don't think I'll have anything to do considering how much snow we got! Wow its beautiful!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! <3

Guess What.... SNOW DAY!!

12/9/09 Burnsville-Eagan-Savage district 191 has a snow day!!! Its been so long since we've had one! The last one I clearly remember was when we were in 5th grade! I don't think we've had one since. Well not one I can remember, and I'm pretty sure I'd still remember something as important as that!

YAY!!! SNOW DAY!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

My Thanksgiving Break

I finally have time to update the blog! YES! So right now I'm on Thanksgiving break and everything is going very well! My parents decided to take us on an adventure today and we went to Macy's to see the "A Day In The Life Of An Elf". It was very cute! After we stayed to watch the Holidazzle parade! That was very fun as well. We also went out to dinner! That was yummy! I had Swedish Meatballs with like a jelly sauce to go with. It didn't look good but the taste was great!

Maggie and I were talking about our Spanish Speaking skills and she wanted to say She hurt her foot and she said she should say "Me duele el pie." I thought she wanted to say that her foot was hurtING like in the present tense so I was really confused for a second. I remember Mr. Challgren saying something about the -ING ending is Spanish is -ANDO and I thought Duelando didn't make sense so I must be using the wrong infinitive. Luckily there was a waitress there who spoke Spanish and my mom tried to ask her how to say "I hurt my foot", but she didn't understand so using my awesome Spanish speaking skills I asked, "Como se dice "I hurt my foot" en Espanol? And then she said "Me duele pie." ( Pie is actually pronounced not like pie but with a short E sound) Then I finally got what was trying to be said! I was so slow! haha :)But technically if you want to say "I hurt" then it would be Duelo in the "Yo" form of the infinitive Dueler- to hurt. Its kind of hard to explain. Well not hard but too long and I don't really want to give a Spanish lesson when I have a WAY better story to tell :)

Anyway, the display at Macy's was gorgeous! I loved seeing Santa The theme was about elves so after I got my picture taken with Santa I did my impression of Buddy The Elf (From the movie "Elf".) when he gets really excited for Santa to come. So I'm all "SANTA! OH MY GOSH I KNOW HIM! I KNOW HIM! It was really funny! It gave Santa a good laugh too.

Later we went out to dinner at this really fancy restaurant! The food was really yummy. The restaurant was decorated really fancy and Christmas like. It was really cool. For me it was really hard to order food cause some of the words were really fancy on the menu! On the menu they had how they cook their food and some of the titles of the dishes were big as well. Did I menchin it was a fancy restaurant? It was a great meal!

All and all it was a great day! I really enjoyed seeing stuff I haven't seen in a long time! I haven't seen the Macy's display since the 6th Grade! Its been a while now that I'm in the 9th grade. Haha I loved it!

PS. I can't remember if I posted something about this earlier but I went to the "All Time Low" concert! It was so amazing! It was awesome to see "Hey Monday", "We The Kings", and "All Time Low". They are all great bands. At first I was kind of freaking out during the concert cause I was so squished by a bunch of older kids I didn't know and it was kind of scary but once we were able to get through the crowd and find some people who were about our age and a little bit calmer it was very fun. I went with my friend Sarah and her sister Becca and Becca's friend Ciara. It was a fun time!

My Week

Hey everyone! Guess what? I got a new phone! Its a Blackberry Pearl from T-mobile, now our whole family is on a plan. Its pretty cool! I didn't think we'd get one so fast. We all talked about it earlier but it might have been too expensive so now this is an early way to celebrate Christmas.

Anyways, my week has been hectic! So much school work!!!! UGH! On the bright side, I get to go to the MN Zoo on Friday for a Social Studies Field Trip. I get to present information about the Asian, Small-Clawed Otter. Its pretty cool.

Nothing much is new, but I might go to the All Time Low Concert with my friend Sarah. So that's something to possibly look forward to!

I'll be sure to update more later but right now I have to finish my homework. :P

Just An Update

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't written in a long time! Life has been pretty hectic lately and I've been too lazy to update so I'm just doing it now.

Nothing much is new but a whole lot of school work has happened. I'm learning more and more everyday and I have at least 3 tests or quizzes, if not more per week. It's CRAZY how much you can miss if you aren't at school.

Social life is pretty good now too but its been kind of dull since this week was the end of 1st quarter and everyone has tests to study for. But now I'm getting to hang out with more people and its pretty fun! WAY better than staying home and doing nothing. I'm also getting to know a lot of new 7th graders this year! Helping them around school and kind of helping them know stuff is good or bad and what to look out for is pretty fun.

School is same as always, work, work, work. But its getting more fun as the year goes on. More activities and field trips going on too. So far I've been to the U of MN and The Guthrie. They were awesome! And on November 20th I get to go to the Zoo!!! To teach kids about Asian Otters! Its so awesome! I can't wait :D. Who would have thought that a 9th grade class would get to go to the ZOO! But its different cause we get to do the teaching. Its pretty cool.

Well I guess that's it :D I can't wait to see you all at Thanksgiving!

Amazing Day!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been busy with school and stuff so I haven't had much time to write anything. And I have nothing new or exciting to write so I guess I'll just explain my amazing day!

Ever have one of those days where everything seems to go perfect? And how everything goes your way and you feel like its the best day ever? Well.. This is kinda close to one of those days. Today is my friend Terrianna's brothers' birthday. Darian and D'Angelo turned 17 today! And to celebrate we all went to this new restaurant called "Kahns". It was AMAZING!!!! I tried Mongolian food for the first time. I LOVED it! I was kinda bummed that the restaurant didn't give out to-go boxes. Its a buffet so they didn't but I really liked the food! But it took me forever to eat cause I can currently only chew with my left side cause the inside of my right cheek hurt every time I open and close my mouth. D'Angelo thinks it might be my wisdom teeth coming in. But I think that was supposed to happen when I was 12. I'm 15 now! That doesn't seem right.

Anyway the food is AMAZING!!!!! Its this awesome buffet where you can choose the things you want and then watch people cook it for you. And if you want them to do a good job you put a dollar in this jar and you get to ring the gong! It was so much fun! And the funny thing is when all the employees hear the gong they all say "Thank You" almost at the same time! And they have foreign accents so it sounds cool.

School went pretty well today too. It was kind of boring since its Friday but I keep thinking its Thursday! I'm a day behind cause I missed school a day cause I had the Stomach Flu. So I still have make up work and things to learn that I missed. It takes FOREVER! That's why I hate missing school! And I like school cause I like to learn.

So yea that was my amazing day! I think it would be more fascinating if you were actually there instead of reading my undescriptive writing. But I think it was an awesome day so I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. :)

Driving. (The NOT So Awesome Part.)

I don't think I'm getting my license anytime soon. Not until I'm 18. At this rate with the amount I practice driving I won't have my 30 hours completed by then. Every time I go driving its the same old routine. A car is coming and I do something wrong.

The first time I was coming out of a parking lot and my back wheel went over a curb and another car was coming into the parking lot and I was a little too far to the left waiting for the wheel coming off the curb and then I stopped and the car got by just fine. But according to my uptight mother what I've done could have gotten us killed and it was a head on car crash.

The second time there was a parked car on my right and a car coming on my left. I was away from the parked car and the oncoming car was still there. There was no way for me to move over to the right more to move for the oncoming car because the parked car I hadn't passed yet. But the oncoming car got by just fine and I was still passing the parked car. But I couldn't move over to the right still or the back of the car would have hit the parked car. so I kept going straight. And the whole time I was getting out of that position my mom is yelling "TO THE RIGHT, MOVE TO THE RIGHT, MOVE TO THE RIGHT." Then later it was "You could have gotten us in an accident."

Driving is stressful. Especially when you are driving with my UPTIGHT, CONTROLLING, FREAKS OUT AT EVERY LITTLE THING THAT GOES WRONG AND ASSUMES WE'RE GONNA DIE!, mother. I don't like being yelled at when I'm trying to drive. And it gets worse since I'm still learning. But all my mom can say is "Well you have to listen to me or get used to being yelled at." That's why I will NEVER drive with her again. If I had to choose between going to Hell or driving with my mom I'd choose Hell. And from what I've heard Hell is a pretty dark place and you burn for eternity. That's how much I hate driving with her. And I know she is trying to help and teach me how to drive but if all she's gonna do is yell and point out the things I do wrong then its not gonna help me.

Maybe instead of yelling she could say something like "Next time move over to the right just a little more. Good job on not crashing into the parked car and getting us a law suit." Or "Make sure you aren't too far over to hit the curb and watch for the oncoming car on your left more." NOT YELLING AT ME! Would probably be the best option. Anything but that. What happened to her number one rule in this household? "Build each other up, don't tear each other down." She's still not following her own rule. And now cause I'm mad at her she's mad at me and I'm not going out driving. And I have to wait until I'm 18 to get my license. I don't even see why I'll need it anytime soon. I can walk almost anywhere in Burnsville including to school if I miss the bus and I can take a taxi to the airport the day I leave for the University Of Arizona. (Which will be in a little less than 4 years!! Its gonna be awesome) And not having a car will save you a whole crap load of money. So if she thinks she can threaten me with having to wait it's not gonna work.

When I start driving like literally the second I start the car I have my life behind a wheel and one move can change all that. Getting yelled at for every move you make doesn't help at all. I get kinda freaked out driving and so far I'm not liking it. I'm still getting used to a couple things and she should realize that. I've heard a couple stories from my Grandparents about when my mom used to start driving and how my Grandpa was a little uptight. She should know what that feels like. She out of all people should understand the most but she doesn't and I don't think she ever will. So I guess I'm not getting my license anytime soon. No big deal.

Randomness

Hey Everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I've been busy with school. Just a bunch of random things going on at once. School, friends, homework, the usual stuff. But there are lots of new things going on too. And of course some more funny moments to go along with it. I don't know how to start this so I guess I'll just make a list again.

1. I am in love with the song "Fireflies" by Owl City and "When It Rains" by Paramore.

2. I went to the Homecoming Game with my friends and Burnsville WON!! We beat Chanhassen by 29!. The score was 29-0!!! It was pretty cool considering Burnsville never wins.

3. I have almost all A's!!! I still have a couple B's. But those hopefully will go up before Conferences.

Now on to some funny moments :)

Math : On my computerized map testing there were like like 50 questions and I was sitting by my friend Kole and he finished like 20 minutes before me and I thought it was gonna be easy if Kole could finish that fast. And then we got to see the score thing and I got like 100 points better cause he guessed on everything. And then when I finished he started fake crying so of course I had to deal with that somehow so I was "comforting" Kole, reading a book, and avoiding getting in trouble with the teacher. kole fake cries kinda loud. haha :)

Social Studies: I raised my hand to ask a question and I completely forgot it! And I'm all "Wait it'll come." And my friend Matt also had a question and just as he was about to start his question my hand shoots up and I yell "OH!" And then the class starts laughing,. Then Matt forgets his question and I ask mine and then he asks his. It was pretty funny.

My friend Alyssa ripped her Contact Lense in class and she has colored contacts so one eye was dark brown and the other was blue. And just randomly I say "My cat has one green eye and one Blue eye." And then my friend Simon was all "Really? I have two brown ones". It was so random. :)

Science: We have to study minerals in Science. My teacher Mr. Yates wanted us to study by playing a game with our table groups. My friend Phil was winning at his table and Mr. Yates comes over and is all "Congrats Phil! You finally found something you are good at!" Never thought a teacher would say something like that, but Mr. Yates is awesome. He's the kind of teacher that would. :) :)

Language: Language is just naturally funny I guess. Mr. Burr, the teacher, makes it really fun! :)

Spanish: My Spanish teacher, Mr. Challgren, is funny sometimes. He tells the oddest jokes at the best times :).

I enjoy all of my classes! They are amazing. Most of the funny things get me through the day as well. I guess that's it. Now off to finish homework! :)

I PASSED!!

I finally passed my drivers test and now I have my permit!! It took 3 tries but I got it. The first time I took it I was quizzed on stuff I hadn't learned so I went back to the manual to review what I missed thinking I'd take the same test again. The second time I had a whole new test with some familiar questions but some of the questions I didn't get how they were worded, and so the third time I just went and read the whole manual almost from cover to cover. And I PASSED!!! I got exactly 80% and that's how much I needed to pass. My limit for myself was to only get 4 wrong. And when I got my 4th one wrong I was thinking "Oh crap I just failed". But then I realized I still had questions left.

On the test, during the test you can see what your score is and I was at 72%. Every time I got a question right my score went up 2%. Thankfully all the easier questions were at the end of the test! and I got exactly 80%. For me it was kind of nerve wrecking cause I didn't know which questions were going to come next, if it was something I knew or not. I think it was the most relieving thing in my life so far knowing I passed the test. I kinda feel weird that I passed at exactly 80%. I was hoping to do better but with this thing I won't complain! I'm just lucky to have a permit now! YES!!!!!!

My Golden Birthday

My birthday was awesome!!!! I got lots of nice "Happy Birthday" wishes from everyone. It was a good day at school too! And my favorite part is that I got a new GUITAR!!! It's a Solid Spruce Top Acoustic Fender! I love it! :) :)

The only thing that kinda sucks is that I failed my permit test so I have to go back and retake it tomorrow. I was off by one question!! It was the really dumb one about how many feet you have to be back from a school bus thing. :P But I'll probably pass tomorrow.. Hopefully!! :) But all in all it was an awesome day!! :) :)

FRESHMAN!!!!!

*If you read this WHOLE post and not just skim through it because it is so long I'd be so proud of you! I have a LOT to say in this one. Good Luck! :) *

My first day of school went really well! My locker didn't open the entire day, I got teased by a couple teachers, and I accidentally hit my friend Marissa with my gym lock. Usually things would go much better but I think I'm doing well so far. My teachers already expect high expectations from me. Especially my science teacher, Mr. Yates. I solved a brain puzzle and I was the only one with the right answer so I can tell he knows I'm smart. And he expects a lot. The brain puzzle was one of those where you have to try to count all the F's in the sentence. And I knew already that the word "OF" your brain accepts as "OV". So I was careful with it I guess.

On the other hand, Social Studies went kinda well. I was already getting weird looks from the teacher because I was laughing a LOT. I finally have 2 classes with my best friend Terrianna. We haven't had a class together since the 4th grade! WOW!. But she kept making me laugh before class and Mrs. Shelerud was looking at me like I was crazy. And when we had to write down our word definitions she said we can write them down any way that we can comprehend. So for me that was kind of a relief!

For example like when I had to define the word "Relocation", the books definition was something like, "When people relocate to a new place they take their fashion, food, religion, (Etc.) It was kind of a long list of like 5 different things. So instead I wrote, "Relocate- When people move they take their stuff with them". I told that to my friend Alyssa and she got a kick out of it. Not that I'm dumb or anything, I think it would be easier to make things less harder than they need to be. That way its not so hard.

Math was awesome! My FAVORITE subject. And Mrs. Kuziej is an awesome teacher! She's also my friend John's mom so I kinda knew her but I didn't know her know her like personally if that makes sense?! But hopefully Algebra doesn't get to difficult. It sounds kind of hard with all the concepts you learn and stuff, but I LOVE Math so hopefully It'll all go smoothly.

Spanish is going AWESOME! Now I'm in level 2 this year. We got to pick our Spanish names today, but we didn't officially decide. I REALLY want to keep my old name Esmeralda. It means Emerald in Spanish. I heard the name from the movie "Gotta Kick It Up" (Dance movie on the Disney Channel) and I loved it! But if someone else takes it then I want to be Carmen. Just like Carmen in the George Lopez Show on Nick@Night (I love that show!). Anyway, hopefully, I learn a lot this year in Spanish. Mr. Challgren says its a big step up from level 1 but if you work hard you'll do fine.

Gym isn't so bad either. I thought the ITF thing was going to be hard, but it's better I take the class now then later when I get to the high school cause when I get to the high school I can take things like Dance and Yoga for an elective in Gym! That sounds cool!

Language Arts is still awesome! I have Mr. Burr this year instead of Mr. Orth. Today I came into class getting ready to take notes as fast as I could, and totally be pushed passed my limit of how fast I can write and getting ready for the hand craps to start, but Mr. Burr is so much more easy going then Mr. Orth. But in Mr. Orth's class I think I have learned way more than I ever have! Now I'm not sure if I actually want things to slow down and be easy. I think I miss the high paced, crazy ways, but I know its a good thing not to learn TOO much in a day as you can handle.

Sounds Like an awesome school year! So far so good! :)

Random Thoughs I Think I Should Point Out

Hey everyone! Here are some random thoughts I have about my life

1: I'm so excited! My Freshman year in High School is starting in about 8 days! My open house is tomorrow. And so is my little brother Elijah's birthday.

2: I have recently found out Elijah loves it when I suck the helium out of balloons and sing Happy Birthday to him. But I hear it kills your brain cells so I don't think I'll be doing that again for a while. haha, it kind of makes you dizzy. It's really fun to say "Follow the yellow brick road and all your dreams will come true." It reminds me of the elves from the classic movie "The Wizard Of Oz".

3: I'm getting kind of excited to be in Honors classes this year. I know before on my last post I said it sounds hard and its gonna suck, but now I think I'm ready for it.

4: I turn 15 in 14 days! Then I can start DRIVNG!!!!! YES!!!

5: I get to go up to my best friend Nika's Cabin this weekend for labor day!! That will be SO much fun!

6: I miss Mexico and want to go back there for Christmas again. I want to go to La Familia Center and La Casa Country again. I am craving one of La Casa Country's tacos right now. And to top the whole Hispanic thing off I have "Livin' La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin stuck in my head.

7: I sing in public WAY more than I thought. I was hanging out with some friends at Dairy Queen and the song "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift came on the radio and I didn't get what everyone else was talking about and I heard the song so I started to sing it, quietly though cause the restaurant wasn't that noisy. And after a couple of words sung my friends were staring at me like I was crazy. It was pretty funny!

8: I am really into Guitars! I really want to learn how to play one. I know the Flue and a little Piano and now I want to learn the guitar. I hope to get one soon. I have been saving for an ES31C Jasmine Acoustic/Electric guitar made by Takamine.

9: I'm not sure how to end this post cause I only have 9 random things and usually you end things at 10.

10: I guess I'll have to write more later cause I can't think of a 9th or 10th random thought.

Next time I'll make sure I have 10 haha

Just An Update

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't written anything new lately. But now I have new things to talk about so I guess that's good!

On Saturday I went to the most AWESOME surprise party ever! I was so shocked and I had no idea what was going on so it was a real surprise. That was so unexpected! It took me a minute to get it all in my head that people were in my garage yelling, "SURPRISE!" But it was so much fun!!!

I also got my schedule for school too! I was so excited to see them up online! We were supposed to wait to get them on September 2nd cause the construction at Metcalf is a little behind, but someone found theirs on Schoolview, its a website where you check your grades online, and the schedules were already posted!

Hour 1: Honors Language, Mr. Burr Hour
2: Spanish, Mr. Challgren Hour
3: Algebra, Mrs. Kuziej Hour
4: Science, Mr. Yates Hour
5: Honors Social Studies, Mrs. Shelerud
Hour 6: ITM Fittness, Mrs. Hook (Not Choir!!!!!) C Lunch! (The last lunch! right before gym class!!!)

I don't mind my schedule but I don't like some of the classes. I have 2 honors classes this year! I am never in honors classes! Actually, I think I'd rather be the smartest kid in a regular class instead of the dumbest one in an Honors class. I was kinda hoping no honors this year. But the good thing is that I have Mr. Burr, everyone says that his classes are easy, and he's an awesome teacher! Even though I was hoping for Mr. Orth again, but I hear that Mr. Burr's honors classes are easier than Mr. Orth's regular class. Which kinda sounds like a relief cause Mr. Orth is kind of a hard teacher, well he's not hard, but he's challenging I guess.

Mr. Challgren is awesome for Spanish 2 this year!
Mrs. kuziej seems awesome too! She's my friend John's mom. But I don't see why I'm taking Algebra. I barley learned pre Algebra last year. Luckly, I love Math, so hopefully I can do well.

Mr. Yates is a pretty cool teacher, But I do hear he'll get really mad if you get in trouble in his class.

Mrs. Shelerud is pretty cool! I met her a couple times last year.

Mrs. Hook is an awesome Gym teacher, But ITM fittness is a lot of work! You have to take notes.. in GYM class! weird.. And I kinda wanted to be in choir again. But I guess not. But now that I have my ITM thing this year I wont have to take it at the BHS. But I have lunch right before Gym!

Wow so many ups and downs to this schedule thing!

Well, I guess that's all that's new for now! I'll update more later.

Life

Hey everyone! Well nothing much else is going on but we are finally getting our house clean! It feels good to get everything out of the way, but it gets so gross having to clean all the animal crap off the floor but its SO worth it! My mom's friend Victoria is helping us in exchange for my mom doing her son's Senior photos for his open house. So we mostly cleaned today. Which was fine but it got kinda annoying after awhile. Working with the same people can get aggravating.

My dad also started his new job today! Its pretty cool. I think I'm in love with his boss and co-workers. They are all so nice and they treat us like we are part of a family. Which is so awesome! We recently played mini golf with them. It was so much fun! I loved meeting everyone. It was cool getting to know them.

Anyway, nothing much is going on except for the house and the job so when I find something new and maybe more exciting I'll definitely update the blog. <3

Stillwater!

Hey guys! I had a AMAZING time in Stillwater with my best friend Nika and her grandparents Marilyn and Dick. We went to a thing called Lumberjack Days. Its kinda like a fair thing. It was awesome! They have all these different booths and stores to check out. And almost every store had a special sale going on. It was awesome.

While I was with Nika and her family, Nick had his graduation party which was AMAZING as well. They had a band they knew from their cabin come play. They are OUTSTANDING musicians. In the band there are these three guys named Bryan, Wayne, and Wolfgang. Wolfgang is a drummer who is only 11! (we call him Wolfie and he's Wayne's son) He taught himself how to play the drums. He's awesome! Wayne plays the Keyboard and the Guitar and Bryan plays the Harmonica, Guitar, and the Bass all at the same time! That takes talent! (He plays the bass with feet pedals.) At first I thought he played the bass guitar with his feet. It was really fun to meet them. And to hang out with them after the party was over.

The grad party was awesome! And everything turned out great! I think it would have been better if I hadn't spilled my piece of cake on the floor within the first 20 minutes I was there. haha. :) And I'm so proud of Nick cause he graduated. Nika's dad Steve announced that the band was going to start playing but before hand he talked about Nick and his graduation and he was worried cause the first thing Nick said was "I dun gots my diploma." Like a hillbilly accent. I guess that kinda worried Heidi and Steve. haha. And the best part of the party was getting to see the family again. Even though they aren't my family they all know me from when I was little and I know them too. It was fun to see them again. I even saw Jacob! Heidi and Steve's oldest son. Also Nika and Nick's brother. And he's getting married to a woman named Megan! I met her for the first time. That was really fun too! :)

After the grad party we went back up to Stillwater to celebrate Lumberjack days. They had awesome fireworks up there. And we sat on the bleachers across from the bridge where they set them off so some of the huge fireworks were right in your face! Sometimes it was hard to keep my eyes open cause they were so bright. It was Amazing!

I'm so glad I went up to Stillwater! I had an amazing time!

Cousins Weekend

Hey guys! I just got back from the Cousins Weekend. I had a BLAST tubing and hanging out with my family I haven't seen in forever and a day! I really enjoyed hanging out with my cousins Luke and Maddie. We had so much fun the minute we got there I knew it was going to be awesome and so totally random! Maddie even let me use her drawing pad to write down all the random things that were said. Here are some of the quotes!

Asia- "Hey there is a car coming!"
Maggie-"Then get out of the street smarty!"

Asia-"What happened to my outfielder? He ran away! And my catcher is petting my third baseman! (We were playing Baseball and Packer, the dog, was the third baseman and Maddie was the catcher.) :)

Asia-"I'm watching you punk!
Luke-"Watch all you want. ;)

Asia- "There is a shoe and a wiffel ball stuck in a tree and we tried to use the shoe to get the wiffel ball out but the shoe got stuck too... :) hahahaha

Luke- "Let's get smart alacky about this"!

Asia-"Bud as in Bud Light, Mike as in Mike's hard lemonade"
Luke-"How 'bout MGD 64? Or Fat Tire?" ( We were thinking of groups to name the cats and Maggie and I both liked the alcoholic drink category and we talked about it at Kelly's Restaurant)

Asia-"The Stones? You mean the Stone Age?"
Daddy-"No the Rolling Stones!"
Asia-"Oh! (I thought they were talking about the eras of music like 80's and 90's and stuff.)
Luke-"Yea they played the rock".

Maddy-"Stop Luke you are hurting my ears!" (Luke was singing) "And my eyes!" (And dancing)
That was the cutest thing Maddy said all weekend I think. And I was SO PROUD of her for going tubing. Luke too! At their ages I would have cried and peed. :)

Well I know this post is a little random but I'm still kinda out of it from the LONG car ride, so I'll try to post more later ;)

Up In Wisconisn

Here are a couple things I've noticed when I went up to Wisconsin...

All trees look the same so if you are going for a walk or a drive or something, don't use a tree as your marking point.

Mice are very common in Wisconsin, so if you find one don't throw your Shampoo bottle at it, just sweep it up and throw it outside.

Pogo's restaurant gives you very large helpings of food, and when the waiter asks you if you want a to go box you have to be specific. I asked for a to go box to put the rest of my French Fries into but he only came back with the box, not the Fries.

People tend to drive very fast in Wisconsin.

Classic movies are fun to watch! My new favorite movie is "The Man That Knew Too Much" with Doris Day and James (Jimmy) Stewart. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock. My friend Haley and I LOVE Jimmy Stewart ever since we watched "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" in Social Studies class.

I had a great time in Wisconsin! And next weekend is Cousins Weekend up at my aunt and uncle's cabin. And then the next week back to Wisconsin.

My Boring Summer...

I'm not doing anything interesting yet. I guess my fun doesn't start until July. That's when Cousin's weekend and Wisconsin are and when I get to see my best friend ever, Nika. I don't know what I'm gonna do until then. It's so boring around here. Hopefully I can hang out with a friend later.

Help Wanted?

Hey guys! I need your help. I need a job over the summer. I didn't get a job at the Tree Trust thing for my school and now I'm on a waiting list. But I don't want to be on one cause if I suddenly get the job when I'm busy over the summer, that's no fun. And the job at the Library as a shelving assistant didn't go so well because I didn't send in my application. I had it ready to go and everything but no one could drive me to the Library cause our cat went into labor and the deadline was yesterday. Hmmm... getting a job is harder than I thought. That's no fun.

So if anyone needs a job done let me know!!

Fun With The Cousins

Hey everyone! I had an amazing time with my cousins! I saw Bryan, Meggan, Lillian. and Noah. And even Tabby, Jesse, Breyannah, and Brett! I haven't seen them in so long. It was pretty fun.

First we went to Chutes and Ladders, and awesome park with great climbing and really tall and long slides. The first thing I did was freak out cause it looked like so much fun! Breyannah and I climbed all the way to the very top of one slide, the tallest slide, and we got all the way there and it was closed. That sucked. All that climbing for nothing. But then we made our way down and went on the other slides too. Those were awesome except I'd get stuck right at the end of the slide so I had to crawl out. But it was still pretty fun. I think I enjoyed it more than the little ones did.

Later went back to Nana and Papa's house and we played lots of baseball and five hundred. Then we had dinner and then played more baseball and five hundred. Jesse loved throwing the balls to us and playing the games. And saying "Winner winner, chicken dinner." We were playing five hundred and every time he would throw a ball and say winner, I'd always say chicken dinner cause it rhymed so every time he was going to throw a winner ball he'd say chicken dinner afterwards. Tabby and I both thought that he was having more fun than the kids were. That was pretty fun to see.

After dinner and the games I got to hang out with the babies, Noah and Brett. They are so cute!!! Noah loved my hair and my nose. He'd open is mouth as wide as he could and then bite my nose. And then later he'd eat my hair. He's so adorable! Brett is the smiliest baby! He'll smile at everything you say to him. Same with Noah. But the coolest thing I saw was that when you put Brett and Noah together they'd giggle and smile at each other! So cute to see them! Noah tried to eat Brett's hand and all Brett could do was giggle and Noah would smile the biggest smile back. It was kinda like their own baby language. It was very cute to see.

And of course, Breyannah and Lillian have gotten so big! Breyannah just turned 6 and Lillian is 2. Both very big girls and fun to play with. I enjoyed seeing them both.

All and all it was a great day, I hope to see them all soon!

My Spring Photo.

Party!

Its the third day of summer and I've already been to two parties. They were both Bon Fires. It as so much fun! Yesterday were both of the two parties so I had to leave one early to go to the second one. First I went to my friend Liz's schools out party. It was so much fun! I saw lots of people there I didn't know so I got to meet a couple new people. It was fun to talk to them and stuff. And there was also people I did know so I got to see them again after school has been out for a whole two days!! My friend Kirsta the second she sees me says, "ASIA I MISSED YOU!" And I'm all, "I saw you two days ago?!" . It was pretty funny. I also met two people named Josh,. so when I'd try to talk to one of them they'd both get confused. So we called them Big Josh and Little Josh. Little Josh got confused every time I said Josh. But know one knew his name was Josh so finally after a couple minutes of hearing Josh he's all "Hey my name's Josh!!". That's when we came up with Big Josh and Little Josh. And it was totally easy to tell the difference cause Big Josh is in 10th or 11th grade. And Little Josh is like in the 4th or 5th grade. I can't remember which ones cause when they told me I didn't get if they had just finished that grade or if they are going into that grade cause school just got out. Anyway, I hung out with them a lot also with my other friends, Krista, Mackenzie, Libby, Liz, of course, and Blake. Pretty fun party.

Later I went to the Ash Girl Bon Fire. It was a school's out party for all drama people in the Ash Girl. My friend Andrew hosted it. It was so much fun to see everyone again. Since the sun was still out we first went to the park near Andrew's house waiting for the sunset. Then we came back and hung out at his house for a while longer and then the bonfire started. We roasted some marsh mellows and talked with people for a while. It was pretty fun to talk to everyone again. And especially the 9th graders cause they'll be gone this coming Fall cause they are going to the BHS. So it was good to see them again.

Both parties were awesome! And I had fun at both of them. Oh yea and yesterday I went back to Sky Oaks to help Olivia with her 6th Grade Send Off party. That was pretty fun. And since Nicollet and Sky Oaks are right across the street from each other after Nicollet's bell rang I ran over to say hi to my friend Katrina. We got out a day before Nicollet because of construction at Metcalf. So I went over there looking for Katrina and I didn't feel safe cause I was a Metcalf person on Nicollet territory. I found her and then we hung out for a while at Sky Oaks hanging out with the 6th graders.

It was an awesome day!

My FUN Weekend

I went over to my friend Terrianna's Dad's house over the weekend and I went to Minnehaha Falls! It was so much fun! Almost as fun as when I went to Taylors falls.

Anyway, I went to Minnehaha Falls and it was so much fun! I did lots of climbing and playing in the water. Pretty cool. But I fell and my feet got all muddy. So did my pants. Kinda weird. But luckily it was only the bottom leg part of my jeans so it wasn't as if I fell on my butt or anything. But what did happen was I fell forward and I tripped over a stick and the stick was a log. Like a HUGE log I jumped crossing the river. It was pretty funny. I got wet. LOL.

So my weekend was pretty fun. Lots of laughs I can't really explain until I can understand them. Lots of funny moments but I don't get how they were funny. I guess its one of those "you had to be there to get it" thing. I had tons of fun. And it was good to get out of the house for the weekend! AND my last day of school is WEDNESDAY!! It would be Thursday but Metcalf is going under construction so we get out a day earlier than all the other schools in the district. So when Maggie and I get off on Wednesday Olivia and Elijah still have school! HA!

Some Awesome, Random, Funny, Moments

Well, I'd like to say things at home are going a little better, but its still crappy. Thanks for the prayers Uncle Bill. I love you :)

Okay so I have some awesome moments to share.
1st- When I was in Social Studies class we were goofing around and we were randomly talking about Las Vegas. I started to mention a song that has Las Vegas in it. "The Viva Las Vegas" theme. And then we, my friends and I, started talking about "Viva". In Spanish Viva means "to live". And then I started singing "Livin' la Vida loca". And then I remembered this one really random commercial for "Viva Viagra..." It was so randomly funny! Later I got the theme song stuck in my friend Gabbi's head. And she started singing it to herself very quietly. Then the class room got all quiet and everyone just laughed, especially me. The loudest laughter besides Haley. Later Gabbi didn't get what Viagra was so I had to explain it to her just a little. It was so randomly funny.

I also got my yearbook and I got to have people sign it. It was pretty fun. But I was starting to run out of room so Gabbi signed my book inside in the binding, and she wrote." Hey I'm the first one to sign your crack!" I laughed so hard when I saw that and she turned bright red. I didn't have to explain crack but I had to tell her she should have wrote binding. We were laughing so hard we, being me, almost cried!

Okay, during the next hour it was my teacher, Mr. Orth's birthday!! So his wife, Stephanie, and his two kids, Dannalyn, and Darissa, came into our class during the final Bridges test to come say happy birthday. They are the CUTEST KIDS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!! THE CUTEST!! All everyone could say was, "AWWWWWWWWWWW!!" Especially me and my friend Michelle. I loved how Darissa said,"Happy birthday Daddy!" in the cutest little toddler voice ever! Mr Orth has the CUTEST family.

Then During the Drama banquet yesterday we all got to give out awards and eat food and hang out and stuff. My friends Tyrone and Ian both took turns wearing a dress. It was so funny! And then Tyrone wore the dress almost the whole time! LOL. Anyway, I got to share a funny moment at the drama banquet, and the moment I decided to share was when we were rehearsing for the one act Once More Into The Forest, Erin had to point out a man in the audience because the line after that was ,"seriously sir, its right there", pointing out a piece of chicken in his teeth, and Ian asked "What if it was an all girl audience?" and then Rachael Raden, our director, thinks for a second and then says," Find the manliest woman in the audience!" When I told everyone that they got a kick out of it. Amazing drama banquet. It was so much fun!

I'm going over to my best friend Terrianna's house soon. I always have fun with her and She has been one of my best friends since the 4th grade and we always have a good time together. So I can hopefully write some more funny stuff down later.

What's going on?

Well nothing much is going on. 7 MORE DAYS OF SCHOOL!!!! Then I'm a FRESHMAN! In high school. Wow. Years go by so fast! I can't believe it. Feels like just yesterday I remember my first day of Kindergarten. Getting stung by a bee on the first day of school that year, and meeting Mrs. Bredesen, my kindergarten teacher. Speaking of teachers, I was bagging groceries at Cub Foods and I saw 2 old teachers of mine, and they both remembered me. And I remembered them. They were shocked that I remembered them. Funny how that works. Like I wouldn't remember them. haha.

So yea besides that nothing at all is going on. Is anyone doing anything fun for Memorial Weekend? I'm not. Nothing at all. Hmmmm.... I guess I'll have to make some plans then.

Valleyfair.

Physics day at Valleyfair sucked. We had to do a 19 page packet (23 page if you wanted extra credit) about the rides at Valleyfair, but none of the questions involved you riding the ride!! I was able to go on 2 rides the entire time we were there. It was really lame. Hopefully I can go a lot more this summer with more friends and family.

Ash Girl

The Ash Girl play went so well! And so did my part as Mrs. Irmagene Crumplecrutchfur. It was great. Opening night had a couple glitches and technical problems but it wasn't so bad I guess. The second night went way better and the very last night we all went out together and gave our best and that's the best thing we could do and that's what we did and it totally paid off! On Monday we start taking down the set... :( A kind of sad time. But its fun to see everyone again one last time before the drama season ends.

I'm so glad I joined! It was so much fun this year and look at all the fun memories I've made and had! Nothing can be better right now. Then to look back on the things you've done and the things you are going to do. I know I've come so far but I've got so far to go... But it will all be worth while in the end. I can't wait to join next year! And then more memories will be made and memories I can share. :)

I had so much fun backstage and with the cast during the shows! All the crazy stuff that goes on is just so much fun to be apart of! And I've gotten closer to people I kinda knew before but now I really see another side of them and I think it's cool to see that. And people I NEVER knew or would talk to I've seen and we've all become so close. Its amazing! :)

Confirmation

My confirmation went GREAT! Thank you so much for coming Nana and Papa! It was nice to have you there.

It started when I got to the church. I went there we took pictures and then we had a service. And a funny moment is before we walked out into the chapel one of the Paks in front of us was guys and the guy leader said, "Okay guys zipper check!" It was so funny. We walked out to the service, we sang some songs, and then they called the individual Paks to come get their certificate. Once the service ended and the pastor said," Go in peace and live your life with the Lord", I felt like I had to scream! I had come so far in my Faith that I got confirmed and yeah it felt awesome!! I've come so far but I've got so far to go, so wish me luck! ;)

Once More Into The Forest

The One Act play I'm in is called "Once More Into The Forest." I play Crumplecrutchfur. It's supposed to be a character like "Rumple Stiltskin". The play is about all these characters from different fairy tales coming together. Except they aren't the same. Like for example my friend Hailey plays Sleeping Beauty. Except its not Sleeping Beauty. It's Napping Average. LOL.

So yea I play Crumplecrutchfur. It's pretty cool. My character is an Adoption Agency Worker. Which I thought was pretty cool. My Teacher Mr. Orth wrote this play. And he said while he was writing it he was thinking about who was going to play the characters. He needed someone business like to be able to play Crumplecrutchfur so he chose me!! But not cause I was adopted. I don't think he knows but I've mentioned it a couple times during Drama cause everyone wants to know if Maggie and I are actually related.

Anyway the show is going to be performed during the dinner theater. So on Friday May 8th, 2008 if you come to the play "The Ash Girl", before the show you will be served dinner and during the dinner will be the play, "Once More Into The Forest".

SO ACTUALLY COME SEE THE SHOW!! Friday May 8th, 2008 Dinner Theater show. $20.
(And the only reason I say actually is cause no one came to see Bye Bye Birdie so come see this one!!)

About My Blog Posting.....

Has anyone ever noticed how many mistakes I make when I blog? Or how much information I DON'T provide? I noticed a couple things as I looked back on my blog posting. I read every post starting with my first one I ever wrote. Look how much I've grown since then!!! For Example.... (By the way you may not understand the mistakes unless you look back on the post)

July 26th, 2008- I never posted the pictures!

July 30th, 2008- David's last name is McClure

August 11-30, 2008- It took me a long time to get the Lazy D pictures up.

September 12, 2008- (Squeal) I must have been really excited to write something that nerdy.

September 15, 2008- (My birthday) I told you guys I went to Perkins for dinner but I'm pretty sure I went to Ihop?!?! I have no idea. But I do remember getting a free Ice Cream Sunday!

October 10, 2008- My cousin Bryan had a baby and they named him NOAH! I never mentioned that!!! I guess I was so anxious for the baby to get here I never really cared to tell you what his name was. But you guys probably knew the name before I did so I guess it doesn't matter. I was the first to know at my house so I guess that's alright.

October 11, 2008- I still don't know the dead guys name.

October 25, 2008- Never wrote the dates of the play I was in.

November 2, 2008- Never posted pictures.

November 28, 2008- Never posted the video

January 31st, 2008- I won the bet. I just never mentioned it.

March 1st, 2008- Never posted more on what happened.

WOW! That's more than I thought! And I probably skimmed by some so if you want to check then go ahead! It's pretty fun to see what you've done through the year. And there is much more to come and mess up on so I can't wait for that! :)

Elijah's Spring Concert/Dairy Queen

Hey Guys! Yesterday Elijah and the whole 1st grade crew did an AWESOME job in their Spring Concert at Sky Oaks. It was the CUTEST thing I've ever seen from a little group of kids that small! They were awesome. Afterward Elijah and his friends went out to Dairy Queen. It was so LOUD! (But not as loud has having ALL the band and Choir kids at McDonalds.) We had ice cream and hung out with everyone. And later it got a little out of hand! And we were all so HYPER! It was awesome. I was probably one of the loudest ones there. Probably cause I started laughing so hard and so did Cassandra, Maggie, and shay. Then it got so loud up to the point where we couldn't hear the guy giving orders over the intercom thing. He tried to tell us what someone ordered but we couldn't hear. But what we did hear was "Dip Cones".

After the guy said that it got all quiet so being as hyper as I was I yelled "Could you repeat that"? But I guess he didn't hear. At first I thought he called us "Dip cones" but then it was just some chocolate dipped cones someone ordered. LOL. I think that was the awesomest trip to Dairy Queen I've like ever had! So much fun.

Well nothing much is new other than that. Oh Except for the MN comprehensive Reading and Math tests going on Monday and Tuesday of this week and the next week. I finish the reading test. No problem at all! Very easy. But I hope I can do just as well at the Math part. Math is my favorite subject, so I hope to do well.

That's all for now!

Easter!

Hey everyone! I'm back. And I hope everyone had a great Easter! I know I did.It was lots of fun getting to see the family again. Even some of the Lundquist people came! It was good to see them after a long time of not seeing them. They are getting so big! Okay here's how my Easter went.

First I woke up. Then I went upstairs and waited for everyone else to wake up so we could start the Easter egg hunt! I id the eggs with Maggie again and we did an awesome job hiding them in places no one would expect. Even some eggs that were hidden out in the open area weren't found until the end. Next I went to church. We went to this new church this year instead of going to Hosanna. We went to Faith Covenant church on Niccolet Street. We wanted to try something new this year. I thought it was pretty fun. I jumped right in to the service. But it was very different from our usual ones. Which was okay.

After the church service I went to Nana and Papa's house. I watched Daniel and Elijah hunt for Easter eggs. They we're like Piranhas!!! It was pretty cool. The I hung out with everyone for the rest of the time. It was pretty fun. Sometimes it got quiet cause everyone got tired after awhile but then we got right back into playing outside and going to the park and stuff. But I didn't go to the park cause I just didn't feel like it this year. So I watched Golf with the guys.

Then we all played Baseball for a little while, had dinner, and then went home. It was a pretty fun day! :) I hope you all enjoyed it too!

CHRIST HAS RISEN!! HE HAS RISEN INDEED! GO IN PEACE AND SERVE THE LORD! THANKS BE TO GOD! :)

Bomb Threat At Metcalf Jr. High

I'm bored. Typical normal day. Oh except for the bomb threat thing. There was a note found in the guidance office that had to do with a bomb and we evacuated the school and went to Cedar. It was fun to talk to your friends and miss third hour but after awhile it was kinda awkward. And then all the news reporters showed up and that was even weirder. This one guy, a news reporter in disguise talked to my friend Katrina, and started asking her what happened. But we weren't supposed to talk to anyone. And the news guy was being all weird asking what was happening and he needed to know cause his "daughter" went to the school. But Katrina could totally tell he was a reporter and a fake.

Well other wise it was a pretty fun day. And I got to bond with some of my friends during the bomb thing. Cause we had to sit in the Cedar High School gym for like 2 hours. But it was like "SOCAIL" studies. Cause we got to talk a lot. Because of the bomb threat I missed my third hour Social Studies class, but it wasn't so bad cause all we do is talk and debate in that class anyway. LOL. But then things started to get a little more serious and now they're trying to find the person who wrote the note. And the person who did this will most likely be expelled, so until they find that person the cops are still searching for information.
Here's a Link from WCCO if you want to read more.

That's all the info I have for now.
Until Later!

Just Another Update.....

Hey guys! I'm back! And I have a lot to say. On Wednesday, April Fools Day, Maggie played the best April Fools joke on my dad! She called our house on her cell phone while my dad was watching American Idol on TV. He never answers the phone during his "TV hour". And then a couple minutes later she told him that a Mr. Beher had called asking for a lawyer and to call him back later. So she gave him "Mr. Beher's number". But what my dad didn't know is that Maggie gave him the number to the MN zoo!!! So when my dad called asking for a Mr. Beher he sounded really funny!! Very good joke! It was really funny!

But this year I felt bad cause I didn't have time to pull any jokes.. But I did get sprayed by the sink hose with a rubber band around it. I get that every year. I expect that it will happen so I don't go near it but then when I need water then I completely forget all about it and get sprayed. Yeah... not my smartest day.

Some other good news is that we only have 1 quarter left of the school year!!!!!! That means about 3 months until we get out of school! YES!! Then I'll be in high school! But still at Metcalf for 1 more year. Then B'ville High School!

Speaking of Metcalf Jr. High we are getting our school remodeled over the school year! New floors, lockers, everything! And we are even changing the school name! Well not the John Metcalf Jr. High part. We are known as the Senators because John Metcalf was a Senator. So we are getting a new mascot! And I get to choose it! Well not just me, the whole school. I think we'll vote on a name later. But we have had some awesome suggestions. Like the Metcalf Mavericks, Metcalf Jedi's (My favorite one) and the Metcalf Calebs. My friend Caleb thought of that one. No surprise that he'd say that. LOL. So hopefully we'll find a good name.

well I guess that's it?! Not all that much I guess, but now I have to go get ready for school.
Can't wait to see you all for Easter!

Driving

I WENT DRIVING ON THE ACTUAL ROAD! NOT ALL IN A PARKING LOT! IT WAS AWESOME! Went up to 30MPH! I didn't crash! And I drove off and up my very steep driveway! So much fun! And not as hard as I thought. I can't wait to drive like actually drive all by myself! Well not exactly by myself yet but maybe soon when I get my actual license.
My mom says I'm a good driver, but I freaked out when there was a car behind me and I didn't know which way it was going so it scared me a little but I think I got the hang of it. But I'm kinda scared to drive on Highways because you go so fast. But I'm sure I'll learn it soon so I won't have to worry about it.

Hey Guys! I'm back! I wanted to share a couple things about driving. I get my permit in about 5 months! I'm so excited and I can't wait to learn! Then I can drive myself places without bugging my parents. But of course I'll have to help get groceries and drive the siblings around every once in a while. But just being able to drive will be so much fun! I have always wanted to drive down to Mexico! But my mom says if she ever gets a call from the National Guard I'm so grounded! Anyway, I was on Facebook a couple minutes ago and my status said "Asia Wolff is excited to learn to drive". And my cousins Jason and Kelly both commented on it. Kelly said it was scary because she didn't know I was that age and Jason said he's going to stay off the roads for a while!

Do you always have to give people crap when they learn how to drive?!!?! I don't mind it cause its pretty funny but it gets kinda weird sometimes! Like the last time I was with my dad I asked him if we could go driving after church and then he said all this stuff about me being a bad driver! He was criticizing my driving! While he was driving! I've only crashed once and I didn't actually crash, I went up a curb cause I had trouble backing out. But I got that down now. So I guess all of that comes with the experience. Well hopefully I'll do fine. And if my dad ever takes me out driving again then I'll show him I'm a better driver than he thinks! :)

Spring Break.......

So far Spring Break is kinda boring. I've had one sleepover with my friend Katrina. But nothing really fun. And I'm kinda bored. hmmmm..... well I guess I'll find something to do eventually. It usually doesn't get fun until the end anyway. Hopefully we can do something fun soon. Cause I gotta go back to school and tell my friends something interesting! At least one cool, awesome , or awkward thing! Something! Anything! Ugh.... I'm so bored.

Spring Break!!

I'm on Spring Break! I'm so bored! There's nothing to do right now. I might go to the Como Zoo later though. That's kinda fun! Maggie and I love to ride the not so safe rides cause they're not safe! I remember I went to that zoo with my cousin Breyannah and Tabby and Jesse.

We saw all the animals and that was fun but then we went on the rides! Breyannah wanted to go on this big roller coaster but no one else wanted to cause you had to be 15 to be her guardian. I was only 13 I think, at the time and my other cousin Kelly was too tall to go. So I lied and said I was 15. But the scary part is I almost fell out of the ride! It was so awesome! I had to sit on the outside to protect Breyannah from falling out. It was pretty fun. Then Maggie went on it and then we both almost fell out! At the same time! That's why we love all the dangerous, unsafe rides you'd find at a carnival or at the State Fair or something.

So yeah I might go to the zoo?! But I thought it would be fun to go visit some of the new babies and cousins we haven't seen in a while over the next week, so if you aren't busy let us know!!! I'm so bored!!! HELP!

Birdie Has Left The Building....

Bye Bye Birdie is over!! I'm sad now! Lots of people started crying after final curtain including me, when the people were taking the set down. I cried after I gave my friend Cydney a hug cause she started crying which made me cry to. And I saw Zach Zambrano crying too and his face was so sad so when I saw that I guess it made me realize that Bye Bye Birdie is over. No more rehearsal or shows... sad.. :(

The cast party was fun though. We had a party at Ella's house until midnight. Pretty cool. Fun games and dances too, I learned how to "Bachata",(I hope I spelled that right) a Mexican dance my friends Zach Zambrano and Carissa Zuki-Deoferio taught me. It was pretty fun. I'll most likely forget the dance like in the next hour, but it was fun while it lasted. :)

But I'm starting to work for the crew in "The Ash Girl", the Spring play and the final play for this year. And I might be in the musical "Sweeney Todd" this summer. But it depends how it all goes. So..... yeah.....

I guess that's it.....

Birdie's Almost Gone!

Hey! Back once again! Man I post a lot! okay anyway, I had fun at Bye Bye Birdie. Tomorrow is our last performance. Again its 7:30 at the BHS in the Mraz Center. COME SEE IT! Okay, after today's performance we went to Perkins at like 10:00 at night and stayed there til at least Midnight. It was so hectic! I loved it! But I didn't want to go and leave everyone.... But I get to see them tomorrow so it doesn't matter yet.

Oh an before I forget, tonight during the show we had technical difficulty with the music. So while we were waiting for that to be fixed we Nick talked to the audience a little bit by improvising on is lines, and then we put on a magic show! Nick Nelson, the guy who plays Albert Peterson in the show, sat in a chair and four of the girls from the cast including me tried to pick him up but we couldn't. So we all stacked our hands on top of each other's and slowly pulled away. And then we all could lift him! With only two fingers by the way. Then we lifted both Emily Powers and Emily Anderson. Two people! Not as heavy as Nick but kinda hard to lift. Not that Nick is fat, he's just tall. So it was pretty cool. Everyone was so amazed and entertained. Zach Zambrano and I talked afterward and said that this kind of stuff would only happen to us during a show. And I said I thought it was pretty cool, being my first musical and all that anything can happen.

Anyway, at Perkins we all went to get food and it took like an hour for everyone to get theirs. The waitress was awesome. She was trying so hard not to yell at all of us for being too loud..... So we all got our food and talked for a while. At first I wasn't all that into it because I was tired and didn't really care. But then once everything started getting fun it was almost time to go!!! So we made it last as long as we could. We were so loud! Having 50 Jr. High kids in Perkins.... Zach Zambrano,Cassandra Sabol, Zach Fissel, and I started singing worship songs in Perkins! No one noticed though. Zach Fissel was having trouble with some of the actions to one of the songs so after he told us that we all just started singing. It was pretty cool and fun.

Oh yea and today our matinee performance went well too. We performed for a bunch of little kids. I don't think they understood the play very well. Cause it's kind of an adult thing.... LOL

So yea tonight was fun.
Write more later.

Bye Bye Birde

HEY! Bye Bye Birdie is going so well!! come see the show! It's incredible! I love drama. But sadly I only have 3 performances left... :(. It's going so well! I love it! I know I already said that but its so exciting! The stage, the lights, the crew, the cast, the songs, the dances, EVERYTHING! But I feel kinda bad because before I was in drama most of my friends were and they'd talk about drama non-stop!! And it got REALLY annoying but now that I know how they feel its just so awesome!

COME SEE THE SHOW! I know it may sound like I'm desperate for people to come see but it's my first musical and my parents and sibs can't go to every show and they only go once. The next 4 performances are awesome but no one is there to watch..... so yea... COME!

More News!

Hey! I found out the list for "The Ash Girl". I didn't get the Princess Zehra part that I wanted. But It's okay because My friend Sydney got it and I'm very happy for her! I'm part of the crew! I get to work on the lighting and the sound affects stuff! That's pretty cool! I might get my own headset to talk into in case something goes wrong, I've always wanted to say," Breaker breaker 1 9 we have an emergency!!" into one of those but I think you can get in trouble for doing that....
Oh yea and I might get to be an understudy for one of the characters in I make all of the st week rehearsals! So there is still a chance to be in the play.

Anyway, the opening night for Bye Bye Birdie is tonight!! I can't wait!!! COME TO THE SHOWS!! Wednesday-Saturday at the BHS. All shows are at 7:30 pm. I'm so excited!! My first musical! It's so much fun!!

I'll write more later.

What I've Been Up To Lately

Hey! I'm back again! Sorry it's been a while since I've last posted. I guess I kinda forgot. I'm so busy now these days with Drama. Bye Bye Birdie is going so well! It' so much fun! Our opening night is this Wednesday! COME TO THE SHOW! All shows are at 7:30 at the Mraz Center in the B'ville High School. Wednesday through Saturday. Ask my mom for more info.

I also auditioned for another play called "The Ash Girl." It's like a classic Cinderella story with a slight twist. I tried out for Princess Zehra. An Indian princess. And I also tried out for the evil stepmother. I think it will be fun to play someone evil. But I'd rather be the princess.

Yesterday night I went to go see class acts. It's this show that teachers put on. It's so funny! All of the skits they do will have you laughing so hard until it hurts! Some of my teachers from Metcalf were in it. It was funny to see them. My favorite skit was the "Celebrity Jeopardy". Some of the teachers from BHS look somewhat like celebrities and they impersonate them by getting the easiest of questions wrong. The celebrities that they impersonated were Sarah Palin, Simon Cowell, and Steve Carell. Great skit, very funny. But the best thing of all about the class acts was that I got to do a very small part while in the audience! The theme of the show was "Still Crazy After All These Years. " Except crazy is crossed out and next to it they have the word teaching. Mr. Benson my math teacher wanted the audience to think of some songs that had the word "Crazy" in the title. This guy behind me raised his hands and said in the microphone "Livin' La Vida Loca". Then Mr. Benson asked if anyone spoke Spanish. So I rose my hand. Here's how it went.
Mr. Benson :Does anyone speak Spanish?
Me: I do.
Mr. Benson: What's your name?
Me: Asia
Mr. Benson: Asia Who's your favorite teacher?
( I was going to say Mr. Orth but another girl before me talked to Benson and said her favorite teacher was Ms. Jeffers. So I didn't want to embarrass him again.)
Me: Mr. Benson
Mr. Benson: And what does Livin' La Vida Loca mean?
Me: Living the crazy life.

So yea that was pretty cool to talk in a microphone and say stuff to Benson.
Well that's pretty much it?! Oh yea and they did this skit where some of the teachers were dressed like old people and they were acting all weird. And they were acting out this promo for a CD with all the songs on it from the acts. And one guy said, "Don't you wish you could have a device that holds all your songs"? And I wasn't supposed to answer but to myself I'm thinking, "Uh Huh". and I said that out loud kinda louder than I thought and then the guy said "Thanks" slightly pointing to me. Then he went on with the rest of his lines. It was pretty funny.

By the way I find out the cast list for The Ash Girl on Monday. I'm so excited!
That's all for now

Holy Spirit Retreat

Hey! I'm back from my Holy Spirit Retreat. I think it was the best thing ever that will make my faith stronger with God.

It all started on Friday when we got to the hotel. For the retreat we went to the Embassay Suites Hotel in Bloomington. My pak adult Marne checked us in and we got settled. After awhile we went to our first service and my favorite pastor, Derek Rust talked about the Holy Spirit and what he does and who he is and how he does the things he do. It was very powerful. Then we had our pak time to talk about what kind of gifts the Holy Spirit can bring and which ones we think we have.

On Saturday, yesterday, Derek invited us to have some open prayer time and he invited the Holy Spirit to come. It was amazing! Lots of people started crying, including me. We had the Holy spirit there, but I couldn't feel it as much as other people could. And I prayed to God saying " Why aren't you talking to me? Why can't I hear your voice? Why aren't you giving me this gift I need?" and stuff like that. I didn't feel like he was listening. I had a couple awesome pak adults pray with me other than my normal pak adult. And we asked that I'd find my gift soon and that I could hear God's voice. Later that night I talked to Pastor Derek. And he gave me a hug and I told him "Derek I can't hear him. He's not talking to me. God's not talking to me." And then Derek said, "Bless you." and I cried. Derek was so nice and so understanding. He prayed for me and some of that prayer was in tongues! I couldn't understand what he was saying but I knew God could. And when I heard it I kinda wanted to laugh but I couldn't cause I was crying.
I was really impressed with Derek and God's work that happened Saturday night. Everyone opened to God and that was really cool. Even the guys were crying just as hard. That's really powerful.

Sunday was kind of a wrap up day. Derek had an open mic and he had people share their stories and there was some really nice ones. I wanted to share mine but I couldn't think of an ending to say. I was going to share my whole story and try to say something like "I haven't gotten my gift yet so hopefully I have something to look forward to in the future." But to me that didn't sound right and it sounded really cheesy. But now I regret not going up to the mic. But I know its okay that I didn't. The final time in the service was sad too. But it was so moving.

So after the last service we packed our stuff and left the hotel. But before I did I talked to Derek and I said, "Thanks for everything." and he said ,"Your welcome sweetheart, Good luck with everything". And when he said that I felt like crying again. But I didn't.

Later my dad came and picked me up and we got some tacos and came home.

This was a fun weekend and it changed my life with God in a very good way. I'll try to post more later. About some of the other stuff that happened.

Much Love and God Bless,
Asia Wolff <3 (If u turn your head to the right its supposed to be a heart)

We're NOT Moving!!!!

YES! we aren't moving to Wadina! I'm soooooo happy! Now I don't have to worry about anything for a little bit! And I'm glad that's done with. All my friends were happy too. No one wanted me to move. And I doubt I'll be going anywhere for a long time! :)

Nothing New

Well there really isn't anything new here today..... Everything is going okay. Bye Bye Birdie is awesome! The rehearsals are kinda fun but their not the greatest. School is getting a little bit tougher. Before we were learning really easy stuff in all classes. Now everything is starting over again.

Spring conferences are next Thursday! Wow that came up fast! But I don't mind cause I usually get a good report. My mom gets sick of listening to the teachers saying how good I am. She'd rather go to Maggie's and Olivia's and hear theirs. But I don't think that's fair cause they get the same kind of comments as I do most of the time. I think she's just sick of me! LOL.

Ummm.... OH! I have my holy spirit retreat on Friday! I'm so excited! It's so much fun! I can't wait to go! And then after I go then I can get confirmed. It's part of the whole youth alpha thing I was talking about earlier.

well I guess that's it?!

I Win!

I think its safe to say that I win the competition to see who updates their blogs the most. Out of all the Wolff cousins, Allie,Jason, Bryan and Meggan, and Kelly. I know Allie always used to menchin how she updates more than Jason on her old blog. So now I'm joining the competition and I'm in the lead! YES! haha. You guys need to update more! :) LOL and I think I beat my dad too! that's a first! Usually he cheats in games and stuff but this time I didn't think he knew he was playing! Well I guess that's all?! I just realized I won and then I was happy for a couple minutes but I guess now its old news.... Oh well. I'll find something else to do.

I never thought I'd say this but life is so boring with out being in school....... But I know I'll regret saying that when Monday morning comes.

Much Love,
Asia

Livin' La Vida Loca En Viernes . (Livin the Crazy Life on Friday in Spanish)

Hey! I went to the school dance yesterday! It was a very fun day!

It started out with me going to school on Friday. Then when I got home I got ready for the dance and then I went to Olivia and Elijah's school carnival to volunteer there. My best friend Terrianna and I got to work the fishing game. It's where the people playing the game throw a fishing pole over a wall and the person behind the wall puts a prize in the fish. I got to be the person behind the wall while Terrianna collected the tickets. The people who threw the fishy over the wall have pretty good aim! I got hit a couple of times. Especially by the little boys and Girls. I think I suffered brain damage cause now I'm slightly scared of fish..... But it was so much fun! I even ran in to some of my old guy friends there. Jason, Clay, and Tyler. It was nice to see them again.

After my shift was over we got some food and then we went to the dance!! It was so much fun to see almost everyone there! We danced pretty much the whole night. My legs are sore..... but it was so much fun! And lots of laughs too!
It was an awesome night! Happy valentines day too!

More Moments

Hey! I'm back! And I'm writing a whole lot so check back often! Okay well I think I'm gonna start with the whole story thing like I did in my post "A couple Funny Moments".
So here we go again....

Okay for our choir field trip #2 we went to see the show "Showcase" at the Burnsville High School. It was really good! It was kinda like the "Bravo" show at the Eastview High School I saw but not as good. I prefer the Eastview show more. It was so much fun to see and I enjoyed it. After the show the band and choir from Metcalf went to McDonald's for lunch. Most of my friends and I were there. And to shake things up a bit I told my friends I wanted to go into the play house thing. The little area where the little kids hang out. So some of us went in and went down the slide and all the tubes and stuff. It was really fun but then we got kicked out cause we were too old. :( Luckily we didn't get kicked out of the restaurant! having about 50 Metcalf Jr. High kids at a McDonald's was really loud. But It was so much fun! I even started bonding with some of my friends I have no classes with again. It was fun to talk to everyone again.

Next story....

I love the show George Lopez on Nick at Nite. It's one of Maggie and I's favorites. And there is a new kid at Metcalf who looks almost exactly like Max Lopez from the show! It's really cool. Maggie told me to go talk to him and tell him he looked like Max but I hesitated and didn't right away but I did talk to him and it wasn't the best conversation I've had.... Not that it was bad but it was awkward.
here's how it went...

Me: You know you look like Max Lopez? Do u watch the show George Lopez?
Him: (Shakes his head all confused) no
Me: oh.... well you look like Max.... Umm..... I'm gonna go before I say anything stupid.
Me: (Yell across the hallway to Maggie) Well that's embarrassing!!

I don't think he got what I said cause he's never seen the show. The scary thing is that he lives near me. Which isn't bad or anything but I just hope he doesn't think I'm like mentally challenged or something! I don't even know his name. I think I'll call him Max until I know his real name. That'd be scary if it's Max!!

Okay one more story....

I was taking a Spanish test and one of the questions was "Tengo mucho amigos" or something like that. And that means "I have lots of friends". The test was multiple choice so the answers were random. They were...
A: Es muy sociable. "Very sociable" except the Spanish sociable is pronounced like "sosiable" with a short a sound.
B: Es muy comida. " much food" I don't know why that was one of the choices?!? That's kinda odd?!
C: Es muy artistico. "Very artistic".
and D: Es muy sabrosos. "Very tasty!!?!?!

When I read that I giggled really loud and couldn't stop cause for some reason I found it was funny that your friends were tasty. My teacher Mr. Challgren looked at me and he knew why I was laughing so he just smiled. But it was really funny to see him stare at me like that. But then he got it. So it wasn't a big deal. But it was still very funny.

well I guess those are my stories. Check back often!

Much Love,
Asia Wolff
