Driving

I WENT DRIVING ON THE ACTUAL ROAD! NOT ALL IN A PARKING LOT! IT WAS AWESOME! Went up to 30MPH! I didn't crash! And I drove off and up my very steep driveway! So much fun! And not as hard as I thought. I can't wait to drive like actually drive all by myself! Well not exactly by myself yet but maybe soon when I get my actual license.
My mom says I'm a good driver, but I freaked out when there was a car behind me and I didn't know which way it was going so it scared me a little but I think I got the hang of it. But I'm kinda scared to drive on Highways because you go so fast. But I'm sure I'll learn it soon so I won't have to worry about it.

Learning To Drive

Hey Guys! I'm back! I wanted to share a couple things about driving. I get my permit in about 5 months! I'm so excited and I can't wait to learn! Then I can drive myself places without bugging my parents. But of course I'll have to help get groceries and drive the siblings around every once in a while. But just being able to drive will be so much fun! I have always wanted to drive down to Mexico! But my mom says if she ever gets a call from the National Guard I'm so grounded! Anyway, I was on Facebook a couple minutes ago and my status said "Asia Wolff is excited to learn to drive". And my cousins Jason and Kelly both commented on it. Kelly said it was scary because she didn't know I was that age and Jason said he's going to stay off the roads for a while!

Do you always have to give people crap when they learn how to drive?!!?! I don't mind it cause its pretty funny but it gets kinda weird sometimes! Like the last time I was with my dad I asked him if we could go driving after church and then he said all this stuff about me being a bad driver! He was criticizing my driving! While he was driving! I've only crashed once and I didn't actually crash, I went up a curb cause I had trouble backing out. But I got that down now. So I guess all of that comes with the experience. Well hopefully I'll do fine. And if my dad ever takes me out driving again then I'll show him I'm a better driver than he thinks! :)

Spring Break.......

So far Spring Break is kinda boring. I've had one sleepover with my friend Katrina. But nothing really fun. And I'm kinda bored. hmmmm..... well I guess I'll find something to do eventually. It usually doesn't get fun until the end anyway. Hopefully we can do something fun soon. Cause I gotta go back to school and tell my friends something interesting! At least one cool, awesome , or awkward thing! Something! Anything! Ugh.... I'm so bored.

Spring Break!!

I'm on Spring Break! I'm so bored! There's nothing to do right now. I might go to the Como Zoo later though. That's kinda fun! Maggie and I love to ride the not so safe rides cause they're not safe! I remember I went to that zoo with my cousin Breyannah and Tabby and Jesse.

We saw all the animals and that was fun but then we went on the rides! Breyannah wanted to go on this big roller coaster but no one else wanted to cause you had to be 15 to be her guardian. I was only 13 I think, at the time and my other cousin Kelly was too tall to go. So I lied and said I was 15. But the scary part is I almost fell out of the ride! It was so awesome! I had to sit on the outside to protect Breyannah from falling out. It was pretty fun. Then Maggie went on it and then we both almost fell out! At the same time! That's why we love all the dangerous, unsafe rides you'd find at a carnival or at the State Fair or something.

So yeah I might go to the zoo?! But I thought it would be fun to go visit some of the new babies and cousins we haven't seen in a while over the next week, so if you aren't busy let us know!!! I'm so bored!!! HELP!

Birdie Has Left The Building....

Bye Bye Birdie is over!! I'm sad now! Lots of people started crying after final curtain including me, when the people were taking the set down. I cried after I gave my friend Cydney a hug cause she started crying which made me cry to. And I saw Zach Zambrano crying too and his face was so sad so when I saw that I guess it made me realize that Bye Bye Birdie is over. No more rehearsal or shows... sad.. :(

The cast party was fun though. We had a party at Ella's house until midnight. Pretty cool. Fun games and dances too, I learned how to "Bachata",(I hope I spelled that right) a Mexican dance my friends Zach Zambrano and Carissa Zuki-Deoferio taught me. It was pretty fun. I'll most likely forget the dance like in the next hour, but it was fun while it lasted. :)

But I'm starting to work for the crew in "The Ash Girl", the Spring play and the final play for this year. And I might be in the musical "Sweeney Todd" this summer. But it depends how it all goes. So..... yeah.....

I guess that's it.....

Birdie's Almost Gone!

Hey! Back once again! Man I post a lot! okay anyway, I had fun at Bye Bye Birdie. Tomorrow is our last performance. Again its 7:30 at the BHS in the Mraz Center. COME SEE IT! Okay, after today's performance we went to Perkins at like 10:00 at night and stayed there til at least Midnight. It was so hectic! I loved it! But I didn't want to go and leave everyone.... But I get to see them tomorrow so it doesn't matter yet.

Oh an before I forget, tonight during the show we had technical difficulty with the music. So while we were waiting for that to be fixed we Nick talked to the audience a little bit by improvising on is lines, and then we put on a magic show! Nick Nelson, the guy who plays Albert Peterson in the show, sat in a chair and four of the girls from the cast including me tried to pick him up but we couldn't. So we all stacked our hands on top of each other's and slowly pulled away. And then we all could lift him! With only two fingers by the way. Then we lifted both Emily Powers and Emily Anderson. Two people! Not as heavy as Nick but kinda hard to lift. Not that Nick is fat, he's just tall. So it was pretty cool. Everyone was so amazed and entertained. Zach Zambrano and I talked afterward and said that this kind of stuff would only happen to us during a show. And I said I thought it was pretty cool, being my first musical and all that anything can happen.

Anyway, at Perkins we all went to get food and it took like an hour for everyone to get theirs. The waitress was awesome. She was trying so hard not to yell at all of us for being too loud..... So we all got our food and talked for a while. At first I wasn't all that into it because I was tired and didn't really care. But then once everything started getting fun it was almost time to go!!! So we made it last as long as we could. We were so loud! Having 50 Jr. High kids in Perkins.... Zach Zambrano,Cassandra Sabol, Zach Fissel, and I started singing worship songs in Perkins! No one noticed though. Zach Fissel was having trouble with some of the actions to one of the songs so after he told us that we all just started singing. It was pretty cool and fun.

Oh yea and today our matinee performance went well too. We performed for a bunch of little kids. I don't think they understood the play very well. Cause it's kind of an adult thing.... LOL

So yea tonight was fun.
Write more later.

Bye Bye Birde

HEY! Bye Bye Birdie is going so well!! come see the show! It's incredible! I love drama. But sadly I only have 3 performances left... :(. It's going so well! I love it! I know I already said that but its so exciting! The stage, the lights, the crew, the cast, the songs, the dances, EVERYTHING! But I feel kinda bad because before I was in drama most of my friends were and they'd talk about drama non-stop!! And it got REALLY annoying but now that I know how they feel its just so awesome!

COME SEE THE SHOW! I know it may sound like I'm desperate for people to come see but it's my first musical and my parents and sibs can't go to every show and they only go once. The next 4 performances are awesome but no one is there to watch..... so yea... COME!

More News!

Hey! I found out the list for "The Ash Girl". I didn't get the Princess Zehra part that I wanted. But It's okay because My friend Sydney got it and I'm very happy for her! I'm part of the crew! I get to work on the lighting and the sound affects stuff! That's pretty cool! I might get my own headset to talk into in case something goes wrong, I've always wanted to say," Breaker breaker 1 9 we have an emergency!!" into one of those but I think you can get in trouble for doing that....
Oh yea and I might get to be an understudy for one of the characters in I make all of the st week rehearsals! So there is still a chance to be in the play.

Anyway, the opening night for Bye Bye Birdie is tonight!! I can't wait!!! COME TO THE SHOWS!! Wednesday-Saturday at the BHS. All shows are at 7:30 pm. I'm so excited!! My first musical! It's so much fun!!

I'll write more later.

What I've Been Up To Lately

Hey! I'm back again! Sorry it's been a while since I've last posted. I guess I kinda forgot. I'm so busy now these days with Drama. Bye Bye Birdie is going so well! It' so much fun! Our opening night is this Wednesday! COME TO THE SHOW! All shows are at 7:30 at the Mraz Center in the B'ville High School. Wednesday through Saturday. Ask my mom for more info.

I also auditioned for another play called "The Ash Girl." It's like a classic Cinderella story with a slight twist. I tried out for Princess Zehra. An Indian princess. And I also tried out for the evil stepmother. I think it will be fun to play someone evil. But I'd rather be the princess.

Yesterday night I went to go see class acts. It's this show that teachers put on. It's so funny! All of the skits they do will have you laughing so hard until it hurts! Some of my teachers from Metcalf were in it. It was funny to see them. My favorite skit was the "Celebrity Jeopardy". Some of the teachers from BHS look somewhat like celebrities and they impersonate them by getting the easiest of questions wrong. The celebrities that they impersonated were Sarah Palin, Simon Cowell, and Steve Carell. Great skit, very funny. But the best thing of all about the class acts was that I got to do a very small part while in the audience! The theme of the show was "Still Crazy After All These Years. " Except crazy is crossed out and next to it they have the word teaching. Mr. Benson my math teacher wanted the audience to think of some songs that had the word "Crazy" in the title. This guy behind me raised his hands and said in the microphone "Livin' La Vida Loca". Then Mr. Benson asked if anyone spoke Spanish. So I rose my hand. Here's how it went.
Mr. Benson :Does anyone speak Spanish?
Me: I do.
Mr. Benson: What's your name?
Me: Asia
Mr. Benson: Asia Who's your favorite teacher?
( I was going to say Mr. Orth but another girl before me talked to Benson and said her favorite teacher was Ms. Jeffers. So I didn't want to embarrass him again.)
Me: Mr. Benson
Mr. Benson: And what does Livin' La Vida Loca mean?
Me: Living the crazy life.

So yea that was pretty cool to talk in a microphone and say stuff to Benson.
Well that's pretty much it?! Oh yea and they did this skit where some of the teachers were dressed like old people and they were acting all weird. And they were acting out this promo for a CD with all the songs on it from the acts. And one guy said, "Don't you wish you could have a device that holds all your songs"? And I wasn't supposed to answer but to myself I'm thinking, "Uh Huh". and I said that out loud kinda louder than I thought and then the guy said "Thanks" slightly pointing to me. Then he went on with the rest of his lines. It was pretty funny.

By the way I find out the cast list for The Ash Girl on Monday. I'm so excited!
That's all for now

Holy Spirit Retreat

Hey! I'm back from my Holy Spirit Retreat. I think it was the best thing ever that will make my faith stronger with God.

It all started on Friday when we got to the hotel. For the retreat we went to the Embassay Suites Hotel in Bloomington. My pak adult Marne checked us in and we got settled. After awhile we went to our first service and my favorite pastor, Derek Rust talked about the Holy Spirit and what he does and who he is and how he does the things he do. It was very powerful. Then we had our pak time to talk about what kind of gifts the Holy Spirit can bring and which ones we think we have.

On Saturday, yesterday, Derek invited us to have some open prayer time and he invited the Holy Spirit to come. It was amazing! Lots of people started crying, including me. We had the Holy spirit there, but I couldn't feel it as much as other people could. And I prayed to God saying " Why aren't you talking to me? Why can't I hear your voice? Why aren't you giving me this gift I need?" and stuff like that. I didn't feel like he was listening. I had a couple awesome pak adults pray with me other than my normal pak adult. And we asked that I'd find my gift soon and that I could hear God's voice. Later that night I talked to Pastor Derek. And he gave me a hug and I told him "Derek I can't hear him. He's not talking to me. God's not talking to me." And then Derek said, "Bless you." and I cried. Derek was so nice and so understanding. He prayed for me and some of that prayer was in tongues! I couldn't understand what he was saying but I knew God could. And when I heard it I kinda wanted to laugh but I couldn't cause I was crying.
I was really impressed with Derek and God's work that happened Saturday night. Everyone opened to God and that was really cool. Even the guys were crying just as hard. That's really powerful.

Sunday was kind of a wrap up day. Derek had an open mic and he had people share their stories and there was some really nice ones. I wanted to share mine but I couldn't think of an ending to say. I was going to share my whole story and try to say something like "I haven't gotten my gift yet so hopefully I have something to look forward to in the future." But to me that didn't sound right and it sounded really cheesy. But now I regret not going up to the mic. But I know its okay that I didn't. The final time in the service was sad too. But it was so moving.

So after the last service we packed our stuff and left the hotel. But before I did I talked to Derek and I said, "Thanks for everything." and he said ,"Your welcome sweetheart, Good luck with everything". And when he said that I felt like crying again. But I didn't.

Later my dad came and picked me up and we got some tacos and came home.

This was a fun weekend and it changed my life with God in a very good way. I'll try to post more later. About some of the other stuff that happened.

Much Love and God Bless,
Asia Wolff <3 (If u turn your head to the right its supposed to be a heart)
