Another Dance ( and some other random stuff)

Hey! This Friday is the next school dance! I love those things! It may sound like we have a lot of those but we only have like 6 a school year. One the first 2 months of school, September and October, and them after that we have one school dance every other month. so our next one won't be until February. This time it's our Christmas dance! This one and the Valentine's Day one are always very fun! Our school goes all out with the decorations and the games and stuff. It's pretty awesome! I'm going to this Dance with my friend Cameron (and all of my other friends too!) I can't wait!
Anyway.... not much is new around here. I'm getting very excited for Christmas!!!!! I can't wait to see everyone again! It's going to be so much fun! And this year I think I'm ready to have a full bowl of my Nana's oyster stew! I didn't like it before but the second times the charm?! LOL. I can't wait! The suckish thing is that we still have school on the 23rd! Christmas Eve is the 24th!! usually we'd get off by the 20th and go back to school the day after New year's Day but this year we get off on the 23rd and don't get back until January 5th! that's a little longer than before! Awesome! more time with the family!

Well that's pretty much it!? I can't wait to see everyone at Christmas time!

Thanksgiving

This year thanksgiving was awesome! I saw all of my cousins on both sides of the family. It was very fun! First I went to my mom's side of the family at my aunt Theresa's house. I saw everyone! Even all the as we like to call them, "The Iowa and Kansas cousins. "
It was really fun to see how big they have gotten. Everyone is growing up so fast! Everyone is so old! well not old as in elderly but old as in getting to be teens and preteens. For example my cousin Luke, I thought he was like 10 or 11 because I knew I was a couple years older but it turns out I"m only 1 year older than him! he's already 13! But then I remembered he has a September birthday like me. That explains a lot! anyway....
It all started when I got to my aunt Theresa's house. Around 1: 23 or so . I got out of the car and I saw people in the driveway. I went to go say hi to everyone and I was helping take stuff inside. I went to go give my aunt Patty a hug but then my mom called my name and before I know it I'm holding a pot of mashed potatoes. Turns out we had lots of stuff to bring in and I am the oldest so I had to carry the most in. So I guess the hugging would have to wait. Then after I went inside with the potatoes I got to see my Grandma and some of my aunts and cousins.
Then I said,"hi" to everyone and the first thing everyone asked me how old I was and when I said,"14" all they did was say stuff like," Wow 14 already?", or "My my my your getting old", or "you grow up too fast. We need to put a book on top of your head to keep you from growing". (my aunt Diane said that one.) And after hearing that all I could do is smile and try not to laugh and get squished when I got hugged to hard.
After awhile of talking to the adults I went to hang with my cousins. We played a couple games and ran around for a while we had a delicious dinner. At dinner I sat next to my cousin Nolan and his wife Cara. They quizzed me on the capital of Michigan cause that's where they live now. I didn't know it at first but then Lansing came to my head but I didn't think that was right so I didn't say it. Then I found out it was Lansing and I was going to say, "that's what I was thinking!" but I knew no one would believe me. I used to know every capital and every state in the 4th grade but I can't remember some of them. I used to annoy my dad's side of the family by singing the MN U of M song. I would sing it all the time. I used to go around asking everyone."Hey do you know the U of M song?" and they'd be all " Yes Asia we know it".
I used to annoy my cousin Bryan by singing it over and over and over! I don't know how he put up with that! I don't think I could have! I was the weirdest child. Anyway.....
After I had dinner I hung out and socialized with people. Then I played with my cousins some more. And then I wrestled with my brother and my cousin Liam. I beat them both! LOL. Next we had some pie then went back to socializing. (I'm very good at that!) Later we went to my Dad's side of the family's house! My grandparent's house to be exact. We came in when everyone was eating. The first people I saw was my cousin Luke and my uncle Bill. we said hi to everyone and then my parents sat down to talk to my aunt and uncle. Then my dad's all "hey is that Kelly's boyfriend?" and my uncle Bill is all " yup that's mike." Then we tried to get his attention. my aunt Denise was all "mike". and then my uncle bill was all" mike". but he didn't hear them. so I"m all "MIKE!" then I quickly point to my dad and say" He said it". Which made Maggie laugh so we left the room .Then when we came back my dad was all " so that's mike huh? What happened to the other guy?" then my mom is all "STOP THAT TOM!"
Which was pretty funny, then they talked about the Application to Date My Daughter. Which is this thing that my dad found and he's going to make my boyfriend fill out. Same with Maggie's and Olivia's. But what he doesn't know is that I made a cheat sheet to have him copy off of. But I guess he might find out soon after he gets suspicious of what he reads. lol.
Anyway.... After I talked to all the adults I talked to all of my cousins I haven't seen in so long! OMG! they are so old! (Again not elderly). My cousins Luke and Ben and Johnathan made a skit. which was kind of pointless. But it sure made me laugh. I video taped it on my cell. I'll post it up later. We sure had fun! After a while I saw that my uncle mike was talking to Allie. I went to go say hi and then I got all the cousins to come and say hi too. It was really crazy! Then we ate pie! My favorite! I wanted to get seconds but my aunt Denise made me wait until everyone had some:( then I could go back for seconds. :)! This year I only had 4 pieces of pie. But two of them were like small.
At my aunt's house they cut pie like squares of cake!! But at my Nana's house they cut them like pie. and I got to have 3 pieces! yummy! After pie we watched The Incredibles and the football game. Dallas VS. Seattle I think. Then more socializing.I talked to my uncle mike and he said Allie really enjoyed seeing all of us! Which was nice. later all of us cousins exchanged cell phone numbers before we left which was awesome cause we are all so close in age. And its great to talk to them! and then I went home. :( But it took me awhile cause I couldn't find my other shoe. I was kinda worried cause I wondered if Lacie, my Nana and Papa's dog got it. But she didn't. It was under the rug. My aunt Diane found it.

well that was my thanksgiving! Wow I say a lot!

What's new?

Well I'm finally back! And I'm finally done with my long work of my play "A Little Princess". It was so much fun and a great experience! But the very last performance was very sad. We did an old fashioned tradition called "Circle" right before the show. Circle is when you say everything that you feel about the play and your experience there. It was so sweet and everyone was crying which was expected since it was the grand finale! and the last time the cast will be together performing. But we get to see each other one last time on Monday for the "Set Strike". Which is when we take down the set at Eagle Ridge Jr. High.

Everything is going well according to my uncle have to update more so i will do that. School is going well and I'm caught up in all of my classes. I got a little behind because of the 6 hours of after school drama. But it was all worth it. I got my report card last week for first quarter and I got 4 A's and 2 B's.

Well I guess that's it?!!

Halloween

Hey! Im back!

Halloween was so much fun! I had an awesome time with my friends. I went trick or treating and then I went to one of my friends houses for a party. It was very fun. I'll try to post pictures later.

Dance

The dance was so much fun last night! I hung out with all my friends and had a great time. I'm kinda tired cause I didn't get to sleep right away when I got home cause I had caffeine at the dance and it kinda kept me up until like 11ish or so. Then I didn't wake up until around 1:30. PM cause I was so tired.

Anyway I have more news about the play I'm in. I'm in the play "A little Princess" and I get to play a school girl. I'm in most of act one. In act one I'm in scenes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 9. That's a lot of lines to memorize!! I can't wait until opening night! I don't know the dates off the top of my head so I'll write those later!

MEA!

MEA BREAK IS FINALLY HERE!

I'm so excited I have the whole week off this week because of conferences and stuff. I have to do lots of work this week to get a couple school projects done that are due at the end of the month, which I guess isn't so bad cause its not due until the end of the month but I've decided to do everything this week so I won't have to do it next week when I have other stuff to do. So better now then later. I know people say " Why do today what you can put off 'til tomorrow." But "What is today but yesterdays tomorrow?" A very sophisticated quote by some dead guy I don't know.

Anyway I'm very excited cause next Friday is the next school dance!! And I'm going with the same people as last time. But I might go with a guy. But I'm not sure yet, so once I know I'll keep you guys updated! But I'm kinda bored cause for one whole week no friends to see!!! This for me is very DEVASTATING! But I'll be very excited to see everyone next Monday.

So what can I do for one whole week? no school? hmmmm........ I have no idea! I'm probably going to be doing nothing. But maybe not. My mom wants to go see all of the new babies in the family. So we will go see my cousin Rachel on Wednesday. So that should be fun! She has a new baby named Wes. And we also have a new baby named David. I think that's Liz and Jeff's baby. But what I can't wait to find out is the name of my cousin Bryan and his wife Meggan's baby is going to be named. I know its a boy but they never tell you the name of the baby until like the week of the birth! The anticipation kills me! I'm not very patient! I like to be the first to know things or otherwise I'll go nuts! LOL.
Hmmmm..... nothing new I can think of so far........ nope nothing else! I think I got it all!

My Weekend

hey guys!!

Im back!! My weekend has been very hectic. Yes I did go to my school dance on Friday and that was so much fun!!! I had lots of people and friends there with me that I knew and we had lots of fun. The dance went from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. but I didn't get to bed until after midnight. After the dance my dad and I went to McDonalds then came home. So as I was eating my food I fell asleep on the couch and I woke up and it was 12:15 am! I was so tired the next couple of days. Oh and the morning after the dance I got up like at 10 cause I couldn't sleep so I went to Olivia's soccer game. That was fun to watch.

Also this weekend I spent the night at my Nana's and Papa's house for m birthday sleepover. That was nice to spend time with them. although they make me make a lot of decisions when I'm over there. Like where I want to eat and what I want to do and if I want to take the 100 bucks or come back and go shopping later. It was all too confusing!! I didn't want to make the wrong choice or anything so I kinda avoided it until someone had to choose for me. or until it was too late to choose!! ugh. But besides the choices I had a good time.

well that was pretty much my hectic weekend. Today at school was pretty fun too!! still hectic and crazy but that's jus the way I like it!

My Birthday!

Hey Everyone!!

I thought I'd let everyone know that today is my birthday! I had a great day today. All of my friends and teachers were really nice and everywhere I went I heard someone saying "Happy Birthday Asia!" It was all very exciting. And I went out to eat at Perkins! YUMMY!! Today was a great day! I got lots of great gift and presents and everything went well. I also saw some of my old elementary school teachers today and they all gave me a lecture about how I'm growing up too fast!

Today was a great day!! I can't wait 'til next year!

School

Hey! Oh my gosh! I just got done with my second week of school! only 37 more weeks to go! ( just kidding). I did do my audition and everything went well. The play we are doing this year is "A Little Princess". I auditioned for the role of Becky the poor maid and I thought I had the part down and good to go. But more people wanted the maid part than I thought, and Becky was kinda a big part and this is my first time in an official play and there were lots of really good actors and actresses. So I got the pat of one of the school girls. I still have lines and like costumes and stuff but its not as big as Becky's part. Oh well. Maybe the next play. I'll have more experience by then. No big deal.

Other news, My first dance of the year is on Friday! I'm so excited. I might ask someone but I'm not sure yet. Usually guys ask girls but this time it doesn't matter cause its not a Sadie Hawkins dance. I can't wait!!!! (squeal).

Now to the not so important stuff.
School is going very well so far. My favorite class is Spanish, I think. I don't know. Its kinda early to tell. The learning part isn't so bad yet but there is way more to come. My first report is due MONDAY! well actually that one was kinda my fault cause I volunteered to give my report on the first day but I didn't realize it would be so soon! (my bad.) But my teacher was kinda happy cause everyone was scared to go first so he was happy with me cause I'm outgoing I guess.

I'm glad school has finally given me my life back! I'm very happy with friends and teacher right now so I hope I can keep it up. Sometimes it can be very stressful and you just want to scream in the middle of class. And I almost have! (Again my bad.) But so far everything is going well and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings to me!!

The First Week of School.

Hey Guys!
I just got done with my first week of eighth grade! WOW! Busy week! I had lots of work to do with school. With New teachers and new classes and a new locker! I got everything down right away but it was kinda hard to remember things. Like what to bring to class and what my new locker combo is!

But I got everything down so far. But I know there is more ahead to come. I have also gotten in touch with my friends again! It was very nice to see all of them!

School is really fun so far and I can't wait to go back on Monday. Even if it means getting up at six in the morning I'm ok with that. Just being there and seeing people I know is fine with me. And especially with the funny things that happen around school and all the school work and stuff I know I would never want to miss any of it. I don't know, I guess I have a certain connection with things around our school. I kinda like it.

I might even join some extra curricular activities. I really want to be in the school play this year. We are doing the play, "A Little Princess". I might audition for the role of Becky. Maybe even Sarah! I don't know yet. But what I really want to do is be on the yearbook team. That way I can take lots of fun pictures of my friends and get them published in the yearbook. That would be so cool!!

FINALLY!! pictures!!!

Hey guys! here are the photos I promised! I finally got everything up and running. As I said before I lost my camera cord. The important one that you put your memory card in to upload the photos! so my mom got me a new one! And now I have the photos. These Photos are from a place called Lazy D. It's this thing I went to with my friend and her family. And Now I finally got the photos!!!! YES!!!!!!!!! so here they are! well I'm not quite sure which photo to start out with.... cause I'm going to try to tell a story using the pictures.... Oh! I know! let's start out when we first arrived. We had to set up our tents first thing.

Now I'm not quite sure if you can call that a true camper's tent?! But I'm not a true camper so it will have to do!

This is my bed inside the tent! I slept on a really comfy air mattress but I thought I could use a blanket........ so I brought my bed spread. It was really cold last year and this year it was just as cold so I'm glad I brought it!

Here is a picture of my feet. I was sitting on my bed in the tent when I was bored the first morning. so I took a picture of my feet.

This is a picture of Maggie's friends Kimmy and Sophie. Kimmy is the one behind Sophie and Sophie is the one almost across from Maggie. This is a picture of them up at around 4 o'clock in the morning. Actually we were all up cause we were waiting for the bad weather to stop! It was raining really hard!

The girls tee peed the boys tent. It was for revenge. The boys scared us last year by shaking our tent when we were telling scary stories and whatnot. Well........ actually I was telling them a story about how the Texas chainsaw massacre was based on a true story. Then that's when the boys shook our tent. So Kimmy, Maggie, and Sophie tee peed the boys tent. I don't know if you can see it in the picture but Maggie said one of the boys left their suit case open and there was a teddy bear in it. So the girls took the teddy bear, rapped it up in toilet paper, and hung it from the top of the tent!! it was so funny! But I didn't want to get in trouble by one of the parents for tee peeing so my friend Katie and I just watched. Even though we got they got permission from one of the moms of the boys, there wasn't enough toilet paper cause Kimmy only brought 3 rolls!

well that pretty much sums up the first day of Lazy D!

The second day at Lazy D, we went to the camp store. well actually we did that the first day too but I forgot....... so here it is! At Lazy D they have a nice camp store where you can buy things. Kinda like the store at Train Bell Resort. Except bigger. And cheaper. Everything there was like 1 cent!!! you could get 200 tootsie rolls for 2 dollars! It was really cool. But then you had to sit and count up to 200. And then re-count them just to be sure! It must have taken forever!

There weren't any kids allowed in them without an adult cause the carriages were really expensive and if you break them they are like thousands and thousands of dollars to replace. We were going to sneak in to look but there was this guy watching the carriages the whole time. So we didn't.

Another thing we did on the second day was go tubing down a creek! It was so much fun! It was like raging rapids except a lot slower and you got stuck in sea weed and rocks more. Here are some pictures of us tubing!
