*If you read this WHOLE post and not just skim through it because it is so long I'd be so proud of you! I have a LOT to say in this one. Good Luck! :) *
My first day of school went really well! My locker didn't open the entire day, I got teased by a couple teachers, and I accidentally hit my friend Marissa with my gym lock. Usually things would go much better but I think I'm doing well so far. My teachers already expect high expectations from me. Especially my science teacher, Mr. Yates. I solved a brain puzzle and I was the only one with the right answer so I can tell he knows I'm smart. And he expects a lot. The brain puzzle was one of those where you have to try to count all the F's in the sentence. And I knew already that the word "OF" your brain accepts as "OV". So I was careful with it I guess.
On the other hand, Social Studies went kinda well. I was already getting weird looks from the teacher because I was laughing a LOT. I finally have 2 classes with my best friend Terrianna. We haven't had a class together since the 4th grade! WOW!. But she kept making me laugh before class and Mrs. Shelerud was looking at me like I was crazy. And when we had to write down our word definitions she said we can write them down any way that we can comprehend. So for me that was kind of a relief!
For example like when I had to define the word "Relocation", the books definition was something like, "When people relocate to a new place they take their fashion, food, religion, (Etc.) It was kind of a long list of like 5 different things. So instead I wrote, "Relocate- When people move they take their stuff with them". I told that to my friend Alyssa and she got a kick out of it. Not that I'm dumb or anything, I think it would be easier to make things less harder than they need to be. That way its not so hard.
Math was awesome! My FAVORITE subject. And Mrs. Kuziej is an awesome teacher! She's also my friend John's mom so I kinda knew her but I didn't know her know her like personally if that makes sense?! But hopefully Algebra doesn't get to difficult. It sounds kind of hard with all the concepts you learn and stuff, but I LOVE Math so hopefully It'll all go smoothly.
Spanish is going AWESOME! Now I'm in level 2 this year. We got to pick our Spanish names today, but we didn't officially decide. I REALLY want to keep my old name Esmeralda. It means Emerald in Spanish. I heard the name from the movie "Gotta Kick It Up" (Dance movie on the Disney Channel) and I loved it! But if someone else takes it then I want to be Carmen. Just like Carmen in the George Lopez Show on Nick@Night (I love that show!). Anyway, hopefully, I learn a lot this year in Spanish. Mr. Challgren says its a big step up from level 1 but if you work hard you'll do fine.
Gym isn't so bad either. I thought the ITF thing was going to be hard, but it's better I take the class now then later when I get to the high school cause when I get to the high school I can take things like Dance and Yoga for an elective in Gym! That sounds cool!
Language Arts is still awesome! I have Mr. Burr this year instead of Mr. Orth. Today I came into class getting ready to take notes as fast as I could, and totally be pushed passed my limit of how fast I can write and getting ready for the hand craps to start, but Mr. Burr is so much more easy going then Mr. Orth. But in Mr. Orth's class I think I have learned way more than I ever have! Now I'm not sure if I actually want things to slow down and be easy. I think I miss the high paced, crazy ways, but I know its a good thing not to learn TOO much in a day as you can handle.
Sounds Like an awesome school year! So far so good! :)
